SpreadSheet Support

Excel Versions, Excel for Mac, Open Office and Google Sheets.

Spreadsheet versions on which our products are supported.

All of our current products are fully supported on Excel Windows versions from Excel 2010 through the latest Office 365 versions.

Please note that Excel On-Line versions DO NOT support many of Excel's advanced functions.  Accordingly at present we do not support our products on this platform.

For Apple Mac we support Excel for 365 for Mac, Excel 2021 for Mac, Excel 2019 for Mac and Excel 2016 for Mac.

Currently there is no on-line version of Excel on the Apple Mac platform.

For Open Office, please ensure that you have the current version installed.

For Google Sheets, we are not aware of any issues affecting our products on the Google Sheets platform.

Please note that Excel Macros created on the Windows platform will NOT function correctly on the Mac platform. Marcos created on Mac's will NOT function on the Windows platform. This is because the underlying Visual Basic Code (VBA) is different on each platform. So please do not interchange between the two if your file contains Macros or VBA Coding.

Accounting Spreadsheets and Macro Security...

One of the most common questions customers ask relates to the use of Macro Security in our products.

To automate routines within our software, some of our Accounting Spreadsheets use a programming language called Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

Whenever you attempt to load an Excel spreadsheet that uses VBA, you will be warned of this fact. (This is for your protection, as VBA could be used to introduce viruses or malware into your system).

So, in order to load any Excel spreadsheet that uses VBA, you will need to ' Allow Macros '. (Macros are just another name for VBA programs).

Detailed instructions on how to 'Enable Macros' are outlined in our Macro Security pdf document supplied 9if necessary) as part of your download pack, or you can follow the link below for our help page on the subject.

What will happen if I do not 'Enable Macros’...?

Quite simply you will lose certain functionality within the program.
